1. Who is responsible for your data

thePlaybook is operated by Henrik Reimavuo ("I", "me", "my"), a sole proprietor based in Switzerland, and I am the data controller for personal data collected through theplaybook.tech and the Services. Contact: henrik@theplaybook.tech.

2. What I collect

I collect only what is needed to run the Services:

Information you give me. Your name and email when you register, buy, book a session, or get in touch; the content you submit when booking a session (for example, your pitch deck, fundraising stage, or the question you want help with).

Payment information. When you buy, payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your card and billing details; I receive confirmation of payment and limited billing information (such as name, email, and country), but I do not receive or store your full card number.

Usage information. Basic analytics about how the site is used (such as pages visited and general location at country level), collected through my analytics provider. I use this to understand what is useful and improve the Services.

Cookies and similar technologies. See section 6.

3. Why I use it, and my legal basis

I use your data to:

provide the Services you buy and give you access (performance of my contract with you);

process payments and send receipts and invoices (contract, and legal obligation);

respond to your enquiries and provide support (my legitimate interest in helping you, or your consent);

run and prepare for sessions using the context you provide (contract);

send you service messages about your purchase (contract), and, where you have opted in, occasional updates or founder-focused content (consent, which you can withdraw at any time);

understand and improve the Services through analytics (my legitimate interest in improving what I offer); and

meet my legal, accounting, and tax obligations (legal obligation).

4. Who I share it with

I do not sell your personal data. I share it only with the providers that help me run the Services, and only as needed:

Stripe, for payment processing;

Squarespace, which hosts the website and course;

my booking provider, for scheduling and running sessions;

my analytics provider, for usage statistics;

my email provider, where used, to send service and opted-in messages;

and with professional advisers or authorities where I am legally required to. Each provider processes your data under its own terms and only for the purposes I set.

5. International transfers

Some of these providers are based outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where your data is transferred internationally, I rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the providers' standard contractual clauses and applicable adequacy decisions) to protect it.

6. Cookies and analytics

I use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your session, and measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Where required, I will ask for your consent to non-essential cookies. [If your analytics tool sets no cookies and does not track individuals, for example Plausible, state that here: it is a genuine trust signal and reduces your consent obligations.]

7. How long I keep it

I keep your data only as long as needed: for as long as you have access to a product or account, and afterwards as required for my legal, accounting, and tax obligations (in Switzerland, business records are generally kept for ten years). Analytics data is kept in aggregate. Session context you provide is deleted when it is no longer needed for the session and any follow-up.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your data, including to access it, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict my use of it, receive a copy in a portable form, and withdraw consent where I rely on it. To exercise any of these, email henrik@theplaybook.tech. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority (in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner; in the EU, your national authority).

9. Security

I take reasonable measures to protect your data, and I rely on established providers (such as Stripe and Squarespace) that maintain their own security standards. No online service can be completely secure, but I work to keep your data safe and to limit what I hold to what I need.

10. Children

The Services are for adults and are not directed at children under 16. I do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes

I may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted here with the "last updated" date.
